Ethical Goodies- a new site for green and ethical competitions and giveaways 17.07.07
This week saw the creation of www.ethicalgoodies.co.uk , a single online venue where businesses can promote new products and consumers can either win or enter draws for products or services that are organic, fairtrade, environmentally friendly or otherwise ethically sourced.
Against the combined background of the rise of the green and ethical business sector, the increased demand from consumers for low-impact products and the rising popularity of competition websites generally, Ethical Goodies was launched this week by Jason Elliott, founder of Ethical Jobs Ltd and the man behind The Ethical Directory
Green businesses looking for a way to trial new products, drive traffic to their websites or offer products in exchange for survey information will find that Ethical Goodies presents a perfect opportunity to reach out to a wider audience of ethical consumers.
There is no cost to organisations who wish to publicise their giveaways, draws or competitions and it is hoped that this will encourage managers to be creative in how they approach this tried and tested type of marketing.
For visitors, the simple navigation ensures that they can easily find what they looking for with the site being split into two main sections, competitions in one and giveaways and draws in the other, along with themed subsections.
“Having seen quite a few competition sites where all sorts of non-sustainable prizes were being offered I felt the time was right to offer the same service but screened in such a way to only offer prizes that have a positive effect on people and planet” said Elliott.
“Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the knock-on effects of their actions and I hope that Ethical Goodies will meet their demands for the greening of even their coffee time entertainment” he added.
