Kate Humble at the Royal Geographic Society 12th March 24.02.09

Travel Africa magazine in partnership with EarthWatch are pleased to announce that journalist, adventurer and BBC TV presenter Kate Humble will be giving a talk in the prestigious Ondaatje Theatre at the Royal Geographical Society in London on Thursday 12th March 2009 (doors open at 6.00pm for a 7.00pm start).
For 10 years Kate had built up an obsession about travelling across the Sahara. That dream was to become a reality when she joined a group of Mali salt traders and 50 camels. Share her experiences from the five week, 1500km trip that changed her life…
Kate’s talk will be supported by stunning photography and numerous anecdotes and will also cover some other African favourites such as Namibia and Madagascar. She may even dispense a few travel tips gathered during her extensive travels around the diverse African continent.
There will be ample opportunity for questions.
Tickets are just £15 each and are available online now. Visit www.eventelephant.com/katehumble
All other queries should be directed to event organiser Wendy Ball by e-mail wendy (at) travelafricamag.com
